Hi

These photos turned up recently on the AACA Forum Pre-War Photos thread and thoseoldcars - Tumblr site:

First, a '41 110 Special convertible coupe, Easter Sunday 1948. The well-dressed couple kept their Packard in nice shape, Simonized, clean whitewalls and all.

Second, a vacation home park in Florida by the palm trees, tucked in between is a '40 120 convertible sedan with a trunk rack. The other cars are a '37 Plymouth and Chevy coupes and ?

Enjoy, add your period photo finds of Packards in Daily Life on this thread if you like.

Steve

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

Hi

The period photos on this The Old Motor Kodachrome series includes one with a '56 Caribbean convertible:

For posterity, in its entirety and cropped. Certainly a rare sight even then.

Clear evidence of just how outstanding these Packards were next to what was actually out on the roads. The 1956 Caribbean here is quite obviously the prettiest car on the street here. Just goes to show what an incredible car company we lost. And the 1957 and 1958 Caribbeans would have been even more amazing and beautiful....!
