Hi R.Lambert,

First off, that unit looks to be in near-pristine condition. What a find for a guy that is looking for that specific piece. You must pardon my ignorance, but how does it work?? I see the brackets and clamps, but it seems inordinately complicated if it is 'just a driving light'. Is there some way to aim it remotely?? Chris.

Hello Chris,
Pilot Ray lights are a driving light that turns with the steering.
They hook to a bellcrank that goes to your steering arm.
Not real complicated to install and look great.
See attached.
Richard

I believe this turned with the steering to aim in the direction you're going.

Thanks Dick (and Don) for the 'lesson'. Someone else was just expounding on here about how the learning never stops.... I've never heard of these steer-tracking lights before today. Seems like quite the 'system'!! Appreciate you taking the time toreply and post the pics. Chris
