anyone that uses utube for car videos. may have seen Vice Grip Garage. It very is well done. and Derek is a better mechanic than I will ever be but he just won't listen to me on the bore and stroke of a 1952 288.He insists its got a 2 1/2 bore. He even deleted my post. And blocked me from posting. It's simple math a 2 1/2 inch bore 288 block would be 147.26 Ci not 288.63 Check it out its worth a view

Math is simple, but the guy is too obstinant to check the figures he's using. Bore is 3-1/2 diameter.

Sooner or later the chickens will come home to roost.

Favorites: Mart's Garage (flathead Fords), Harry's Garage (high end English and European cars), Curious Cars (variety of cars for sale), Jay Leno's Garage, Audrain Mansions and Motorcars (Jay and Donald visit houses in Newport, R.I. in vintage vehicles). Plus many, many more.

Yes, I love jay lenos garage. He would know that the bore and stroke of a 288 is 3.5 x 3.75(288.63) and not 2.5 x 3.75 (146.26) as Derek states in his video. Makes me wonder how a mechanic as good as him could make such a fundamental mistake. Stubborn and obstinate I guess

most of these type of auto shows are entertainment rather than technical. I wind up talking to myself catching errors on brands I know about. I call them CARtoons for the above reasons

I am beginning to see that as well. I just hate to see people misinformed on our great cars
