Hi all,

I know I've asked this before and I can't seem to find the answer so I apologize in advance.

Can someone help me identify the appropriate years for these two data plates?

I reproduced a new one, (the larger one with all the patent numbers), but I don't know the applicable years.

Thank you in advance,
Crin

Your first one (with twelve hundred patents in the text) was used for the late 12th Series and very early 14th Series cars. Your sample is not quite true to the original, the enameled areas were all black.

Your second one, again incorrect with the red enamel, was a member of a long-running style with frequent changes as various patents expired or were issued, and last used in the 22nd Series.

Thank you sir - you're awesome as usual.

Surely a hint of color can't hurt ... lol ...

Thanks again.

The first patent listed was issued 9/27/21... the last was issued 12/7/37. Hope this helps.

Coincidentally they both seem to be for wheel bearing/hub apparatus.

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

Pulfer and Williams still has a web presence but after LaVine Restorations bought them it is unclear if they are still selling data plates. They do not show up on LaVine Classic Reproduction's "store" button like the merchandise of Yesterday's Radio plastic operation does after that purchase but the site wording would seem to indicate they might still be in business.

The "contact us" section of the website looks to be active so maybe worth seeing if they are still in business so your products and their offerings if available didn't overlap.http://pulferandwilliams.com
