Born in 1952 and growing up in this area, and my father having night clubs along Sunset in this era can remember many of the buildings. A glimpse of a Packard dealership in the beginning, and many parked and driving Packards.

Oh boy, did I enjoy that. Having it colorized adds a lot. Thanks.

I was amazed at the number of Studebakers as well as the fairly heavy traffic flow vs the jaywalkers and those making U turns in the first few minutes of the video. Must have truly been a kind and gentler era because drivers actually slowed down. I cannot imagine that anyone foolish enough to try either maneuver today would end up well.

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

At the 1:19 mark, there's a 1952 300 on the left - note the PACKARD on the hood, along with the crest.

The Packard described is interesting as first thought of the description would have told me that it was a 1951 with a 1952 grille but, while it has the 1951 hood lettering, it has the 1952 ornament too in addition to having the 1952 grille!

Lots of other Packards on both directions including a 1941-1942 convertible in a used car lot but right near the end, I thought I saw a Muntz Jet in a lot but when I went back, I couldn’t find it again. It was just a couple minutes from the end.

A couple 1951 Ford 2-door sedans too, just like the black one my parents had when I was a baby. Yes, I remember it as we had it until 1957!

Those of you that are familiar with the area will notice on the left towards the end Greenblat's Deli and Ah Fong's restaurant, I believe both just closed in the past couple years.

Let the ride decide

At the 1:02 mark, is that a 2 door bathtub Packard parked at the curb?

At the 1:13 is that a 46-47 Clipper at the curb?

There were many Packard on both sides including what appeared to be a '30s roadster parked and a '48-'50 (I got only a glimpse) Custom Victoria driving the other way. There must have been at least 20 Packards in all.

I shared it with a car guy in Hollywood.

He said there its another out there

But my question is.

Was that a studio film .? Cause. It was long.

Had to run out of film. Even 35 mil. Would run out.

Edit.
In fact he grew up in Hollywood... And remembere
