The factory setup was muffler and resonator, which made it quieter. I got my exhaust system from Waldrons, and it had both.
One note - apparently stainless steel exhaust systems can have a "tinny" note and may not be as quiet as conventional systems. I've not observed that personally, just heard it. Good luck!

Also, they make a ping-ping-ping noise when cooling down.
Even a new steel system on one of these cars will probably outlive most of us since they are not driven as daily drivers in poor weather.
