1929--633--7 pass--ignition and spare tire keys

Hello All,
Purchased my 29, 633 seven pass 3 months ago. Has not been started in 20 years, garage kept. In process of cleaning gas tank, radiator and engine block flush, fuel line and carb rebuild. BIGGEST PROBLEM is lady could not find keys. I have purchased 29 blanks off e-bay and think I can have a lock smith do his magic. Question is what do I do about the side mount spare tire locks. Are they keyed alike on all cars or same as ignition key. I also need a battery box bottom if some one can tell me where to buy one. Pulling out the fuel level indicator in gas tank, very crudded up and in bad shape, are they available anywhere. Any thoughts and advice is appreciated and thanks in advance.

A good lock smith should be able to make keys for just about anything based on the lock itself.

1. What are the chances of them having a blank to the
ignition and the spare tire locks, any experience
2. Spare tires are mounted and all you can see are the
lock slots
Thanks again for your help Big Kev

Dave,
The spare wheel locks were originally pot metal and may therefore have swollen and be unuseable. If this is the case you can drill them out and buy new ones. I bought mine from Henry Yeska many years ago and they are available from other sources and fit a number of different cars.
The ignition switch may also be pot metal, I don't know, mine was missing completely so I fitted a new ignition switch.
Hopefully a locksmith can fix yours.

This is what your ignition is supposed to look like. It's actually mounted to the coil. Many unrestored cars have had their coils changed, and the ignition switched changed to something else. Is this what yours looks like?

West had a good picture of the round coil that was used for some of the 29 production year. Early cars used an oval coil which used a different switch.

Mr Peterson, thanks for the pic of what the original should look like. I will check this out this week end and see exactly what I have, it appears untouched or modified from the dash view and will post what I find. Thanks for all the help and advice.
