Last weekend while cleaning my transmission for paint i found the top cover was cracked. Also i found the low and reverse gear teeth chipped and the mating revers pinon chipped any advise or suggestions would be appreciated

If the lid is not leaking don't worry about it.
As for the gears they look serviceable to me. I've seen a lot worse. Just change the gear oil.
