My 46 Packard has spray nozzles on the windshield and then the tubes are hanging free under the dash. I expect they went out through the firewall through the whole shown in picture below. Does anyone know what type of washer reservoir/pump was used on my car?

I would be interested in that question and some details as well. The factory unit appears to be vacuum operated yet the Clipper wipers were electric. For those in the know, how is the washer controlled?

46 deluxe, I remember you found an extra button under the dash in your car but was it for something electric or vacuum? If vacuum, that 3 hole grommet would make sense -- 2 hoses for vacuum to and from button and one for the water line.

EDIT: Found a washer labeled as a GM version on ebay. Said used from 1941-51 & I'd bet it would be very similar if not the same as that Packard used. The button showing looks a lot like what I could see of the one under your dash.

It's all vacuum controlled, not sure how it works. I have one in pieces and it's just tubes, no wiring.

Okay, this is very helpful. Definitely vaccum based washer pump and made by Trico. I did some internet research and found that Tucson Packard may have one. I am checking on the price. See picture below.

Believe that style is the washer Packard called "Mag-Nu-Matic" and being electrically operated, started use in 53 seniors with the push button switch in center of wiper knob. Later ones had a vacuum operated device attached to wiper motor to co-ordinate the wiper action with fluid flow. First ones were just electrically operated but without the extra device. If you do use that type that has the co-ordinator, there will be an extra hose connection which will need to be blocked off.

Most 51-3 washers were still vacuum operated with the vacuum supply and operation controlled by a port off wiper motor. Turning the wiper knob in the reverse direction supplied vacuum to the port and activated the washer. Those versions were like the top photo.

Edit: Second photo is a better picture of the 53 regular electric version without co-ordinator.
