Hello,
I am new to this forum, which I find a tremendous resource! You guys know your stuff. I grew up with my grandfather's 1929 Seven Passenger Sedan, which I am now restoring. I have seen pictures of metal filter housing a glass bowl which threads into the bottom of the vacuum tank. Fuel gets filtered here on its way down to tthe carburetor. Does any one have one they would be willing to sell me? Any help would be greatly appreciated. jswogec@yahoo.com

To your question about the sediment bowl, I purchased a reproduction glass bowl filter with built in shut off valve from Henry Yeska at Hershey many years ago, it fitted the outlet of the vacuum tank on my 1929 perfectly. I don't know if they are still available of whether Henry is still in business, perhaps others can advise.
The same filters units were probably available from other suppliers but I have never been able to find them, I could also use another one. There are other reproduction glass bowl filters available from other suppliers such as Vintage Car Parts in UK but they do not incorporate the shut off valvevintagecarparts.co.uk/search?query=fuel+filter.

Thanks very much. I am not sure Henry Yeska is still around, but I will try to run him down.

Yes, Henry Yeska is still around and still very much in the Packard parts business. He advertises regulary in The Packard Club publication, and elsewhere.

If you find a suitable sediment bowl, please post the details, I have 2 / 1929's and one has the original pot metal sediment bowl that is warped and needs 2 cork gaskets between the bowl to seal and the threads are not the best. I would like to replace it.

I will pass along any information I discover about the sediment bowl. I found a number for Henry Yeska online (610) 759-0230.

Hey everybody,
Henry Yeska has the sediment bowl which fits (perfectly!) under the firewall vacuum tank on the 1929 model 645 sedan if anyone is interested. thanks to David M for suggesting I call Henry (610) 759-0230. You may want to wait a few days though...they are still digging out from Hurricane sandy, and the power is still out.
