I have skirts for the car. The holes are drilled along the fender lip for the locating pins. Here is a pic from last year.....with skirts installed.

Thanks, Kev. Were they Standard or Optional on the Deluxe, and would the absence of clips mean the car did not originally have them, or did they just put the mounting hardware on all the fenders.

There are really no clips per se. The are just holes along the inside on the fender lip and a place in the back corner where the single retainer bolt screws into.

Nice work, Kev! I need to eventually remove the cluster and dash on mine, and I'm not looking forward to it!

Some work on the car this evening as the temps were finally in the low 90s.
Started to pull out a dent that is in the rocker under the passenger door. When I got the car I never saw this dent. It was until I stripped the car that I found it was buried under 1/2" of bondo. So I started to pull out the dent with the stud welder. Also the other project for today was fixing the hood bracing. The spot welds have failed on the driver side so there was alot of flex when opening and closing the hood, and this also caused the hood to close a bit crooked. So I drilled through the spot welds from the side of the hood, and then into bracing. Then clamped the bracing in place and plug welded all the holes and ground the welds down. The hood now feels much more solid and closes perfect straight now.

Found another vintage piece I have been looking for. These have been going for $150+ on ebay. I found this at a local store called "Treasures and Junk" for $45.
It's called a Gotham PIcni-Table and it came with the multicolored place settings and cutlery. Luckily none of this stuff was lost over the years. I think I will look great in the trunk of the Clipper.
