Well folks, it is now official (again!).

The 2nd Annual PackardInfo.com River Fun Run in Laughlin, NV at the Riverside Resort and Casino will take place Nov 8th-11th, 2012 (Veterans Day Weekend).

This is a free event and is open to all Packard Pre-War and Post-War Packard vehicles. This is non-funded, cost free event, except for your own travel expenses (Hotel, travel, food, trinkets, etc).

We will have a discount code set up with the hotel, and have a block of rooms at a special price for the event. More information to come as the event draws closer.

Everyone is welcome to come out for this event. We are hoping to have vehicles from the local PI and PAC chapters in addition to the cars from Packardinfo members in attendance.

Hey BigKev, Any updates to the River Run in November. Think I got the wife talked into it....LOL Let me know.

Still on the radar, but nothing new to update with just yet. The PI Regional tour will be held in conjunction with our event, and there tour will finish in Laughlin. So basically we are the final act on the PI Tour. More info to come as we get closer.

Packard Internationals also will be joining us as they are ending/overlapping their Regional Tour with our event. So this should bring a lot of Packard folks and cars out.

I hope to have the flyer posted tomorrow for this event. We just finished working out some of the final details and coordinating with PI as this event will be the final stop on their National Tour. So please check back tomorrow for all the info.

Hope to see as many of you folks as possible for the event. We are looking at having about 25+ car in attendance. As mentioned before we are the last stop on Packards International's tour, and the weather should be nice that time of year.

This is really a tire kicking, causal type of event. The car show is a non-judging type where the spectators pick the winners. So we encourage everyone to bring their vehicles out and participate. So bring out both those shiny and patinated beauties.

We also have a nice place picked out for dinner on Sat when everyone can order off the menu for themselves ($10-$26 average price). So no stuffy rubber chicken banquent dinner for us.

Expecting about 50-75 people in attendance at the current time. So come on out and enjoy our 2nd Annual event, and the beauty of the Colorado river at the same time.

Folks we just heard from the hotel that there is also a big BBQ Festival that weekend in Laughlin and they are expecting 20,000 people in town for it. So what that means if you are planning on attending the River Fun Run, we would advise that you make your room reservations ASAP to avoid limited room availability.

This also means we should be getting a lot of foot traffic for the car show on Sat, and have access to really good BBQ!
