The mechanism that raises the telescoping section via the knob is a bit more problematic. As I recall, it is a flat spring like "wire" around 3/32 or so wide and a few thousandths thick.

So, I am trying to fix the telesoping feature. It is starting to respond to some lubricant. Question - how far should the telesoping section come out when fully extended?
Disassembly will be a challenge due to a broken set screw in the knob. Thanks folks!
Mark
