I was chuckling at that myself trying to figure out what he was carrying.

Reminds me of here during harvest when they have flat bed trucks loaded with cardboard boxes full of produce on the way to packing houses. Stacked twice or more higher than the rails, wobbling back and forth & with a little string like rope thrown over trying to keep them contained. More than once some driver has tried a corner a bit too fast and his load went the opposite way than the truck.

Probably cotton.

Do they have alot of cherry trees out there in Cali????

Some but not a huge amount locally. In this area mostly oranges, almonds, walnuts, some peaches and nectarines and then the Thompson seedless or raisin grapes. Some row crops and lots of cotton and tomatoes on the westside.
