I think the hood w/flames adds a welcome touch of informality to an otherwise very formal car.... ... ...

just checking in No More Flames , I have 1200 miles on the car and its running great. Finnaly put seat belts in so i can install the car seat for our daughter, my wife was getting tired of me leaving her and the baby at home. We went to good guys last weekend and was the only packard there. Jim Wagnon helped me pick up a donor 48 packard with lots of good parts including a r9 overdrive transmission so this summers project will be converting it over.

Congratulations, you have obviously done a good job on that rebuild. You are gonna love it with overdrive when you get that installed--will make the car into an effortless long distance cruiser. Which tires did you end up using?

Mike,

Does your donor 48 have the elusive splash panels that JW and I are looking for (one right and one left)? Looks like a fine riding car.

Mikes car is a Super 8 which has different splash panels than the Custom 8 & Custom Super Clipper
