Thanks for Ross, I really appreciate all the kinds words, and support both for the website and me over the years. Your good advice, and help with parts on the '54 has been a godsend.

Also several other's have been extremely generous over the years with both financial support for the website, advice, and helping me locate parts. So thanks to you all.

Going to do the walk through on the car this afternoon and assuming everything is up to snuff, the Clipper should be back in the garage tomorrow morning.

When and did a walk thru on the car. There are a couple of drips in the clear coat that they are going to address this afternoon or tomorrow. Also there must have been a "lost in translation" moment between the front office and the paint shop because instead of hanging and painting the splash pans, skirts, and other "off-car" pieces, they table painted them and as such the backsides didnt get painted. Opps, for them. So they will need to reshoot those parts.

The color, as expected,is brighter than the factory color, even more so in the sunshine with the heavier metal flake and clear coat. It takes on a more subdued slate gray tone when inside. But I am completely happy with it. Once the bright work is on the car, it's really going to stand out for sure.

Here are some pics of the car sitting out in the sun. It's got some dust on it from sitting inside where they are working on other cars.

Hopefully they will have the drips addressed by end of day tomorrow and I can then get it towed home, otherwise it maybe Monday before I do. But i'm not talking the car until it's done to my satisfaction. Like I said them are very close on the body (4th and inches) and I am extremely happy.

Thanks guys. I can honestly say it was the brightest car in their lot. You could see it a block away.

While it may not be 100% perfect to the original Packard shade, it sure is what I always imagined when I hear the name "Metalichrome Bikini Blue".

Love it!

Loks good now the fun begins you will get a bigger smile and more satisfaction with every piece of trim you get on .
