I got an automotive trivia quiz from a friend and one of the questions was about when power seats were first offered. The answer on the quiz was Packard first offered power seats in their 1947 models. I think this may be almost correct: Not on the 21st series cars, but on the 22nd series cars which were first produced in 1947, but were 1948 models. Or, am I wrong and the 1947 Clippers had a power seat option?

Wasn't it available on the 18th series 180?

Didn't see a mention of a seat cylinder in a prewar hydraulic writeup -- just windows -- and sure don't remember ever seeing a mention of anything being available for 47. Believe Packards first use of electric seat was in 54 so unless there was some kind of Trico vacuum setup I'd think 22nd series was the first use.
