Some 1941 LeBarons, Rollsons and perhaps Derhams used the 42 Clipper style shifter arm. I suppose it's also possible that very late 1941 production bodies used them as well, though after all these years and different owners ideas anything is possible.
The only authentic 41 I've seen with painted headlight doors was a one-off Rollson where all the trim, even the radiator shell, was painted black as was the custom with severe formal cars of the times. But early 1948 Custom Eights had painted headlight doors, and they went to chrome early in the production run.

In malspeak Click on Owner Registry in the Main Menu list Scroll to the bottom of the Registry entries and click on "Add your Packard to the Registry" Add the details required in each field. It may open near the bottom of the form so scroll to the top and fill in the blanks from there as required. Please include a picture, you can do this by saving the picture you want to your Laptop or PC then selecting it after clicking on the browse button for the Vehicle Picture field. And add the known history of the car or how you came to acquire it, preferably both. Makes for interesting reading from my perspective. And last, once all the details are loaded, click on the "Add to Registry" button at the bottom. Should work.

There were a few bugs in the Registry 'add' and 'edit' sections that could cause the submission of new entries, or changes to existing ones to fail is either the pictures or text contained certain special characters that were illegal to the database functions. I just fixed all those this evening, so it should not present a problem going forward.
So for the inconvenience and the confusion. By the way, any Registry addition, or changes should show up right away after you make them, and refresh the Registry page. If it doesnt, then there was a problem. If so, then send me a note, and I will get right on it. Thanks again!
