Some thoughtful person scanned this ad and saved it here. It's a nice, readable scan with enough resolution and good color.

So why am I criticizing it?

Because the measles are caused by failure to descreen, which is very simple on most scanner software packages.

If you are scanning period materials that are printed on paper and you get anomalies like the measles spots, rescan after you click the descreening box.

If you are offered a choice of screens, typically printing on pulp or newsprint is coarser (75 lines + or - 15) while material on coated paper is more like 133 lines (again + or - 15).

It doesn't always work well, so try other settings if needed. In color the four screens are rotated; rotation may help.

I don't mean to disparage anyone here; just trying to get our material to show to best advantage.
