Hello Gentlemen,

As Emily Latella used to say, "its always something". So, just when I thought I had settled on Rotella as the best oil to use as per several posts here, Hagerty sends me a link to an article about motor oil that says:

"Diesel oils have plenty of ZDDP, but unfortunately even higher levels of detergents than conventional oil."

I am already battling leaks so more detergent I don't need.

Thinking about Pennzoil high mileage.

Anybody want to beat this horse some more?

I use Rotella for two reasons: high ZDP and the detergent capability.

The sludge has been removed from the pan; I want a clean engine with workable oil passages.
