vent window operator 39 Junior

The right front vent window crank mechanism on my 39 120 is stripped. If you look closely at the photo, you will notice that the first few teeth of the large gear are stripped off. Also, the smaller gear has about 1/3 of the first spiral broken off. Anyone have a spare one for sale? I could use the entire vent window setup, as the U channel that fastens to the top of the vent window and continues down the door for the window has been cut in half so that someone in the past could install new vent window rubber. But just the gear would be a great start. Thanks

The unit is stamped with the manufacturer's name of "Hancock" on the bottom. It is also stamped in a different font with R H F, which I assume means right hand, front.

Might give this a try. Don't know this fellow. There was a fellow some years ago in San Diego, Wallace Walmsly, that used to reproduce them, he advertised for years in P.I. so you might also try P.I. office and see if they know anyone that took up the reproduction of these gears.

John Ulrich advertises some of the gear sets as reproductions, not sure if they include your model but worth a phone call to him.

David,

Not much help.

Not sure what it fits either.

Thanks Mike - yours is similar, but different enough. Appreciate you checking. The good news is that this one looks easy to disassemble, unlike mine.

Believe I had to grind off the bottom button, then tap a hole, and use a machine screw with a washer and loctite to reassemble. The last one I did was many years ago.
