Hi Dave
Thanks to the pictures! They make those of us in the midst of this frigid Northeast winter both envious the climate there and hopeful for Spring here. Big Kev's Clipper looks great with blackwalls, something rarely seen these days. I'd have to go with a darker blue top to compliment but that's just my taste. Looking forward to more pictures when you post them. Steve

I was a bad photo taker this trip. We were busy running around all day when we were there. Also since Jim had been part shopping on the way to the Meet, his truck was full. So we actually used the Clipper to get around for the weekend. Car ran very well. Even had some 80mph freeway runs. One thing that will have to be addressed is the rear suspension. It for sure has sagged, and once you get 4 passengers in it, every driveway had us scraping the edge of the tail pipe on the road. So some spring helpers made be the cost effective fix for the moment. Also the walmart cheapo tires I am using also are not as tall as the correct ply-bias tires, so that adds to the ground clearance issue.
Saturday was the car show, but we managed to get a two-fer that day. Jim and I were up at 4:45am to take in a famous Saturday morning car cruise that runs every week. Called "Donut Derelicts" in Huntington Beach, CA, about 300-500 cars show up every Sat morning at around 5:30am and are gone by 8am. I had several people come by to look at the Packard as amongst the 300-500 cars there, it was unique indeed. By 7:30 we had left the Derelicts behind, and headed back to the host hotel for the PI Event. I staged my car for the show, and gave it the cursory wipe down. My car was just on display there and not for judging. My girlfriend took the picture from the 19th floor of the hotel when the cars were just beginning to arrive and setup. I think all and all there were about 40 cars in attendance. For sure a smaller show this year. It was good to see everyone here on the Forum that could attend. Gerry (PackardsSouthwest) was there from San Diego and had brought enough parts with him to fill three swapmeets up. I also did a little wheeling and dealing and managed to get that elusive "good" parking light housing I needed. Here is that early shot of the show (find my car), and some pics of the Clipper from the early morning cruise-in.
