I decided not to wait for the Firestones, bought the Yokahamas instead, I like the look as they appear somewhat vintage.

Are those the Diamondback "special" 700R15 size offering or bought from a Yokohama dealer?

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...

C'mon boys....HaHa!....blue coating is a protectorant (is that a word?) applied for shipping and handling purposes. Washes off with soap and water. I left it on until spring for the above reason as there is only 24" of snow on the ground here. Tires are from Diamondback. Great people to deal with.

I don't know, Jeff ... they look pretty snazzy to me just the way they are!
But seriously, thank you for sharing this info with us. I wouldn't use anything but radials on the Clipper. Better handling, better fuel mileage, better cornering ... just overall better tires.

After a loooong winter it was time to change the "bluewalls" into whItewalls. A quick bath then off to the local hiway to try out the new Diamondbacks. My oh my what a difference from the bias tires. These tires rode and handled great! The Diamondback 700/15 is a great choice for the 22nd/23rd series cars.
