In fact, I noticed an additional difference in the two attachments to post #4 - a plugged passage near the boss for the choke housing of the ROCHESTER air horn that's not present in the GM counterpart. I'd wanna authenticate both carbs. Start with the obvious external differences, then go inside if you think its necessary (and worth it). In that regard, be advised that I provided scans of the Rochester 4GC bulletin for 55-56 Packard for this site's archive, which include part numbers, as well as specifications. However, be careful about interpreting any casting numbers; a single casting can be prccessed differently, depending on the final application, which results in different P/N for the finished items.
