I'm looking at a set of Clipper fenders for sale on E-Bay. They are in Connecticut. Can anyone recommend an outfit in that area that would crate these up and ship to my forwarder?
Thanks.
Mark

When I shipped some very large and heavy Packard parts, I contacted a guy here in Billings who is a shipping broker. He has contacts with many truck shipping companies and was able to get me a price of about half of what the same trunking company quoted me when I called them direct. See if you can find a broker in the yellow pages, or talk to friends at car dealerships, car clubs etc.

I also saved money by bringing the parts to the shipper already strapped down on a wood pallet. The pallets are usually available for free from most big box stores, grocery stores etc if you ask nicely.

This was kinda tongue in cheek, but maybe not too far off. I think they both have heavy/large freight services. You could also do an internet search for companies in the area and contact them.
