This 55 Patrician is all black and this is the interior. I've never seen interior like that before.

If this is your Pat or you can get the numbers, the Studebaker museum may have the original order for this vehicle. I forget what they charge, but I thought it was worth it for my Pat. That may be an REQ as Packard did that.

Looks like it was reupholstered one time using the wrong material for the fabric. Green vinyl, dark blue on top of door panel. Someones been playing with this one.

Sorry boys, it may be redone, but it is absolutely correct from what I see in the photo--pale blue leather with the very elaborate dark blue/light blue/gold brocade. After supper will wander down to the shop and look up the trim code.

Here it is: Trim code 60 "dark blue cloth and light blue genuine leather". The more usual combo was #62 "light blue cloth and dark blue cloth"

The pattern of cloth used in trim 60 was exclusive to that combo and did not appear in other colors. It was pretty stunning or gaudy depending on your taste.

In similar fashion the 400 had a one truly unique trim, #85 "white orchid cloth and black imitation patent leather" This was little white flowers on a jet black background teamed with very shiny black trim. It is seldom seen but very striking in grey and white car. My favorite!
