The spare tire well on my '51 is rusted out at the bottom and needs to be repaired.

Are their any reproductions one out there?

Or has any ever spliced in a repop from say a Chevy, or Ford, or something?

There is a company that makes a universal item that might work-- or at least might be a starting point.emsautomotive.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=74_79&product_id=414

If the hole isn't too large, fiberglass works well. Just remember to leave a hole for drainage.

The spare tire well in my '51 is rusted at the top near the lip. I made a rough attempt at repairing it. The bottom is solid, but has the usual dent that can be banged out. I can cut out where my rust damaged started or around the whole lip in the trunk. Maybe between the two you could make a good one. Pardon the debris. PM me if interested.

Pays to shop around. That same well sells for $145 on the hot rod sheet metal website.
If it said Packard or Cadillac god only knows what they charge. Why these restoration are more costly than they need to be if you not a wholesale buyer...and why they don't bring the money they deserve.

Mine is good there. Only damage is on top where the welds are. I sent the pics to your email.
