Anybody seen these cars recently?

I do not presently own a Packard, but have owned three different V8s over the years. I recently got a scanner that allows me to scan old photos and 35mm slides into the computer.

So I was just wondering if anyone on this site has seen or knows what may have happened to the cars that I once owned.

The 55 Clipper constellation was bought by me in 1975 for $200.00 when I was in high school, it's s/n was 5567-5611 and was sold in 1977 near Ukiah CA.

The 56 400, I bought at the Turlock swap meet in about 1990 and sold at the same swap meet a year or two later. Unfortunately I do not have the s/n anymore and there are dozens of Scottish heather and white 400s out there so I don't expect to ever find this one.

The blue 56 Patrician was my favorite, I bought it in 1990 in Stockton CA, it was originally from the Sacramento/Roseville area. And was originally white with grey top and bottom. A previous owner had removed the pushbutton shift and installed a older GM 4 speed hydra-matic with a column shift. It worked great and needed no cooler. It also had electric wipers and I installed a one wire alternator set up instead of the generator.

I cannot find any records of what the s/n was on that car, but I remember that the engine number matched. I sold it in the Modesto area in 1997 and the guy I sold it to did not keep it long and sold it to someone in the SF bay area.

I hope someone has taken care of it and given it a good home, it was running low oil pressure when I sold it (was disclosed to the buyer) so was ready for an engine rebuild and oil pump fix.

All of them are nice looking cars. Too bad you lost track of the ownership.

Maybe Tom Watling in Turlock knows the whereabouts of your old Packards.
