Wife and I headed to Motown tomorrow to inspect a 55 Pat before we buy.

Father's car, ran when parked with a fresh engine, little fender ding, but pretty clean, Awesome interior.

Father's estate sold and needs to move the car, may add a new V8 to the stable.

General Consensus on Price?

Hi

I'd opine it's worth just what he's asking based on the interior alone but then there are the realities of mechanical and body condition.

As long as the engine turns and there aren't serious rust issues hidden by bondo, start negotiating in the $1,500-$1,800 range but don't feel bad paying up to asking price. Better advice will be forthcoming from others who've dealt on cars more recently than I, should be heeded first.

Hope you save that Patrician, it's too good to be lost.

Agreed Steve, I have no problem with asking price. I am making the drive because I got fooled on my 56. Nice interior and payed 4k but then found hidden rust and a messed up suspension. Got a fresh battery and a crawler to do a thorough what's over.
