G'day oldguy,
to PackardInfo, that handle could identify a lot like that here! Believe there are a number of '40's which use the same garnish moulding, see the photo below from the 35-41 Parts List. Think that although different part numbers, only because of the different woodgrain finishes on them, that #'s 342977, 353470, 357044 & 342978 should interchange. And I invite you to include your '40 110 4 door Sedan in the Packard Owner's Registry!

Old Guy & Oz
According to Jim Hollingsworth's book: The woodgrains were used on the instrument panels and window reveals. The Carpathian Elm Burled was used only in the 180. The Mottled Aspen was the Early grain for the 110, 120, @ the 160. Sapele Mahogany Tan & Gray were introduced later in the year. That makes 6 different grain for the 1940 Packards. I did not research the part Numbers. Hope this helps Fred D

oldguy,
for including your '40 One-Ten 4-Door Touring Sedan in the Registry. Did my earlier post with the garnish moulding part number info help in any way? And, if you don't have a copy of the 35-41 Parts List it's available here on PackardInfo for FREE download.

Just to make sure we are all clear on this you need to review the photo above from the Parts List book. Note that there are a number of listings for various woodgrained windshield mouldings. There is also a listing for chrome windshield mouldings, see part #357045.
Only CLOSED cars came with woodgrained parts. All CONVERTIBLE models came with chrome parts. This held true for 1941 also. I cannot confirm it was true for 1942 cars, but that seems logical.
