Maybe time to sell?

Hi chaps

To fund the purchase of a holiday home for the family, I'm considering selling my 1930 745 Dual Cowl Sport Phaeton

It will likely break my heart to do so but I have a few other classics to keep me busy - and a holiday home to work on!

Could anyone offer advice on the best way to realise a good price for the car. Its in the UK but of course its worth shipping worldwide.

Ken,
Sorry to see your '30 Deluxe Eight Sport Phaeton is going.

But, please update your Registry entry when sold, or advise me and I'll attend to that detail!

In addition to the obvious (mechanical and cosmetic condition and any recent improvements, receipts, etc.) would be to provide the provenance of the car as far back as you can trace it and of course any documentation or evidence that it is an "as sold" car, meaning that the body and chassis are both original to the vehicle - this would be critical to getting maximum value. And of course some really high quality photographs. There are some dealers in Europe who deal in this type of car and you might consider using one of them as an agent. And be prepared to be a patient seller.
