Guscha. I am curious about the pictures in your 9/24 7:40:45 post where u say: "Some pictures elevates their (and our) work to an art."
Are those pictures of fiberglass body parts???????? When were they photographed????

Just for fun let's consider the possibility of using the 3/8" longer Zis head on a Packard block or visa-versa.
Ther eare 9 head stud holes. IIRC the Packard head is 38" long??? and the Zis head 3/8 inch longer??? So, 38"/9 holes = 4.222 inch spacing. 38.375/ 9 holes = 4.264 inch spacing. A difference of .042 inch spaceing of the stud holes. That's lesss than 3/64 inch. So is it inconceiveable that the stud holes could be elongated such a small amount to allow interchangeability??? I'm sure any one with a drill motor and a set of drill bits or a dremmel tool could do it. The other stud holes are even more numerous REDUCING the amount of elongation needed. There is a catch, depending on how close the head gasket sealing bead is to the hole. FURTHERMORE: THAT small of an amount of spacing difference certainly gives rise to the question of Zis haveing modified Packard casting moulds. But, that would be a question for a foundry expert.

Something else i'm curious about is any superficial casting flaws or scares that are shared bwetween the two different heads. OR any evidence that such flaws may have been covered up at the foundry by polishing.
