...in reverse I go forward...

Just follow the instructions and make all the adjustments on pages 117 and 118 of the Ultramatic Transmission 56th Series Supplement to the Service Manual - should easily solve the problem.

exhaust

had to make the cradle, the rubber, after market hanger, cut it, driver side had to punch another hole,

driver side res pipe is pretty close to gas tank, might have to wrap it,

still need to finish adjusting and tightening , pass side header pipe is about an inch to long. but not taking back off for awhile. its just not centered in frame

gas sending unit

my fix copper braid, would prefer it soldered at ends and let braid flex, something like a motor brush

but this should last

that wick takes solder right up, might be able to solder one end, then use screw to case so you have flex

my 2 dollar insulation, aluminum foil, dollar store, took to boxes, 27 sq feet each. it said heavy duty. but not like the real Reynolds wrap, I may put some Reynolds heavy duty where the bows go..

this will also keep the jute dust from falling thru headliner,
