New Packard in the Owner's Registry is Dr Broxtop's '55 Clipper Custom Constellation with this Vehicle History/Project Status narrative:
"This was an eBay purchase (gone bad) that ended with a partial refund from eBay and the award of the car to me. Car was purposely described as a #2 show-car; when in reality it is a #3 driver at best. A true "twenty-footer" - the car displays very well and rides fine. But, has a knock or tapping in the engine that is annoying. Will list it on eBay now that I have legal title to the car." I for one, would be interested to know more if Dr Broxtop is willing to share further details. If not, maybe because the eBay settlement has a non-disclosure clause, then so be it.

it is on ebay right now. the red and white one. he really did get screwed, but could have gotten someone to look at it before he bid too. so......

Thanks for the data. Despite the ambiguity of one digit, it's the first 55 I've gotten that actually makes sense to me and as such it's an important bit of info.

not enough detail as it could be a 95 and not 93 and the C could be a O or 0.
also the car on ebay is red and white, not blue.

Yes, not clear about the 5 or 3, but the only possible prefix letters for 55/56 cars are "C" and "D".

understood on the lettering, but i am pretty sure that is a 5. if you look at the last 3, it has a tail on the end that the other does not.

I'm leaning toward a 5 and the reason pict is blue is because the white didn't lend itself to giving up much detail so I inverted and changed colors around until it appeared as clear as I could get it.
