All of the "Exploded" part plates from the 41-47 Clipper Master Parts Manual have been added to the Photo Archive for quick reference.
Thanks,

Well I was all ready to start scanning the 1946-1950 Service Manual that Acolds was kind enough to send me for scanning, but noticed it stamped on the last page "Reprint by Small World Press, Dundas, MN". Are they still in business? There is no copyright stamp on it. But if they are still in business and actively sell this then I dont want to step on their toes. Any input valued.
Also I notice the format on this (aprox 5.75 x 8.5) book is like a condensed paperback rather that the 8.5 x 11 holepunched style I have been in the factory mechanics version that are held together with brads. Was this a style Packard sold? If this falls into the out of bounds arena, then does anyone has an original 1946-1950 Service Manual available for scanning? This is one of the missing gaps here on the website. Thanks,

Well the holepunched versions I am talking about are like the 1951-54 and 1955-56 Shop Manuals. Where they were designed to be taken apart and have updates added to them, or they were stored in a 3-ring binder. The Parts List (going back all the way to 1935) were also in this format.
So that is why the 1946-1950 I have in through of be has me wondering on it's format. Not sure if that was done by the reprinter.

My Memory of car dealer parts books were that they were about three feet long or more. This was before computer or micro film versions I think the term was micro-fish. The books I remember which were from local dealers which were also gas stations. These books were the hole punch type with long rods holding them together. I can remember going to some dealers later and asking for old parts and the dealer would have to go look at the old book rather than the new microfilm or computer screen to see what the part number was. This was the day of the dealer ships which were something and son or something brothers. Guess this dates me but the old time guys would a least look for a part now all they say is that's to old we don't have it and can't get it.

Just a comment for Clipper47. The six was different for the 21st series cars. Engines with serial numbers above F-35000 are of the new type.
