Working on my 120 I noticed an exhaust leak. It comes out of a cover that is held on with 2 screws on the manifold (choke tube) . Does the part just consist of a cover, gasket and 2 screws, or is something missing?

On my '37, there is a sheet metal well behind the cover, with a bimetallic spring on the backside of the cover with the two screws. Yours should have the same arm coming through the cover with choke linkage attached to it.

OK. Got mine out. It has a few holes. Max Merritt sells one that looks like it, but it says its for 1935-38. Will it work?

Just looking at the photos for an 1801 carb shown in the 40 110/120 owners manual,packardinfo.com/xoops/html/downloads/1940_110_120_OwnersManual.pdf if your car is using the same carb it would appear the choke thermostatic spring and operating mechanism is at the carb and not in the manifold so it would just be a cover.
