On my '37, there is a sheet metal well behind the cover, with a bimetallic spring on the backside of the cover with the two screws. Yours should have the same arm coming through the cover with choke linkage attached to it.

Just can't stay away

OK. Got mine out. It has a few holes. Max Merritt sells one that looks like it, but it says its for 1935-38. Will it work?
