getting things worked out, still have ping, mainly on upshift under load, changed out dist, have timing at 5 degrees,

still have some bad gas from 1995 in there, but shifting is great, also have nagging lifter, once in a while, might only have about 50 miles on it, see pic of ft tire, have new ones on the way,

brakes ft were temper mental, change out wheel cyl., kit, but look at old look like new, been in there since 80s, silicone is way to go,

but ft brakes work great now, repacked wheel bearings too,

you guys think that tire will blow, no freeway driving yet,

Yes, that tire could blow at any time without warning; I wouldn't drive on it anywhere. I had a tire with a shifted belt, the separation in the tread was not as long nor as wide as yours. I jacked that axle up until the tire was off the ground and waited for the new tire to arrive. I heard a pop and then a hissing sound, found the tire blown. This happened with absolutely no weight on that tire. So I think yours is clearly unsafe.

With your manual switch, relay, and light circuit I don't quite know how your TL is getting power but to use a two wire brake switch will require some additional circuitry unless the TL feed from the old switch was totally bypassed by the light circuit.

Riki, the brake slight switch with the bayonet connections is a better choice, Echlin SL-134 or equivalent. And IMO the best solution to the brake light/TL feed is the little inexpensive P.N.R. kit.

I eleminated the pressure stop lite switch. Use a mechanical switch gerry rigged to the brake pedal. Also went with manuaal switch control on the dash for the torsion level.
The manual torsion level control is much better for my needs. Rural driveways and other rural road conditions make the manual control of TL system most desireable.
