Some thing else i would be interested in is the position of the gears on the gear change lever.
Thanks Howard

Hello
Many thanks for the info on the gear positions. Something else i would like to know. Is my car a clipper super eight or is it a clipper 120. It has a straight eight and a 42 model with the non wrap around grill. 4 door saloon. Thanks Howard

The intro section of the 41-7 Clipper parts manual has a model and chassis chart and from that, by virtue of the 1592 body number shown on the Briggs tag you posted it is a 1942 120 Eight on the 2001 Chassis.
The body number is important when determining which body parts were shared between models and the chassis number is used when looking in the parts manual to identify most mechanical items. The side grills or whiskers were optional although they were on most senior models and not so much on the juniors.
