Question for all the experts, the passenger side of my '35 is missing a motor mount I think, not sure becase its never been present as long as I've owned the car. 4261 shows what is left on the frame rail, and 4260 shows the mount area for the engine

I believe this was a vulcanized mount and I'm probably missing the part that attached to the motor, Steel rubber seems to offer revulcanizing but with 1/2 missing not sure what could be done.

Is there and illustration on a part source for this so it could be reproduced?

Just as an aside, as there were 4 different car lines in 1935, being more specific about which one can be important - I'm guessing it's a 1200-01-02.

The front motor mount is under the water pump and the rear mounts are on the transmission, what you're missing is a stabilizer. Not sure about '35 but thru '34 there was also one on the driver's side, though very different in construction. I'd take some photos of the 34 stabilizers but BDC has a '35 so perhaps he can snap some photos for you, I'd have to go to the parts book to see if both years were the same though I believe they were.

I hope this helps. On the 1935 1201 eight there is only one torque mount and it is located on the right side of the engine. It looks like you are missing the bracket that bolts to the gearbox and the torque mount. Kanter reproduces the torque mount. I have seen the brackets on eBay in the past, I bet Kanter will have that too.

BDC, do the '35 Eights have the fore-to-aft stabilizer on the driver's side? Looks a bit like a dog bone, split down the middle, that clamps over two rubber-covered ball sockets, one on the engine and the other on the frame. Maybe I can get a picture of it later today.

I have sent a "PM" regarding your parts on the parts cars

Pix of the driver's side fore-to-aft motor stabilizer as installed on 1100-01-01; Super Eight and '33 and '32 may be the same, unsure if they were used post 1934. Would have been a more informative pix if taken from below but it's about 20? F in the garage today.

The piece is immediately adjacent and to the left of the spring, painted black, two mirror-image halves in the form of a dog bone, fastens over two ball studs, one attached to the rear of the motor and the other to the frame. Ball studs themselves are covered with a rubber boot. The two halves are held by nut and bolt thru the halves at each end.

EDIT: BDC, looking more closely at your photo in #6 above, your 1201 does indeed have the fore-to-aft stabilizer link just as shown for the '34.
