RAA Hypothesis:
Assume that the vapor lock DOES occur in the line from tank to pump. THEN, is vapor lock caausing a positive PRESSURE in the line or a NEGATIVE pressure???

Hint:
Is it fairly common for ELECTRIC pumps to be plumbed such that the electric pump feeds DIRECTLY THRU the MECHANICAL pump??? No??? Not possible????

NOW, let us look at the operation of the VALVE inside of the MECHANICAL pump. And determine WHICH SIDE of the pump for which PRESSUE (from boiling fuel) would cause the pump to stop pumping. Or allow fuel to STOP flowing.

If my foggy mind still serves me well then the valves inside of the MECHAnICAL pump are NOT directly opened and closed mechanically. But rather are opened and closed by pressure/suction of the pump diaghram operation.

Please don't post 10 different posts to get one thought out. It's annoying, and drives others peoples posts off the page. You pretty much post jacking at that point.
I've already pointed out that vapor lock can occur anywhere in the system where the fuel can boil relevant to temp and pressure. I'm pretty sure disc brakes and electronic ignitions are not a passing fad. The last 30+ years have debunked that.

Yeah, clothspins. BUT, 95% of owners would try to put the cloths pins on the fuel line between tank and pump Then claim "mythbusting" when it doesn't work. LOL. LOL. LOL.
