When will people stop removing vehicle number (patent) plates; when lost the car's link to its past is gone.

Your owner info doesn't make sense, a 1502 would be a 1937, not 1936. As a convertible sedan a 1502 would have a 139 inch wb, the former standard Eight engine (320 ci), and ifs.

For 1936 each series, 120, Eight, Super Eight and Twelve offered a convertible sedan. A 1402 would be a Eight, not a Super. Why not measure the wheelbase, and send photos.

Better yet, give us a motor number and advise if IFS or a solid beam front axle. Also bumper photo would help.

PS - let me make it easier. If you have independent front suspension (IFS) and the distributor is mounted on the cylinder head, you have a 37 (or later) Super Eight, which is the same engine as the 1936 Eight.

If you have IFS and the distributor is mounted on the driver's side of the engine block, you have a "junior" Packard, a/k/a a model 120. Engine # would tell you which year.

If you have a solid beam front axle and the distributor is mounted on the cylinder head, you could have either a 1935 or 1936 Eight (sometimes incorrectly called the Standard Eight) or a Super Eight. Eight and Super Eight engines look similar but displacement and physical external size is different. Engine # would tell you which.
