I don't think it is Packard. The 10 ohm resistor is a style you can buy today. Compared to the bare round resistors or the occasional ceramic covered elements Packard typically used, what ever that item the resistor is fastened to does, it looks post Packard or maybe aftermarket.

The round thing does not have a button. It has two male spade terminals and one has the wire as shown.

Well then just exactly what is the round thing??? Is it a flasher stat for turn signals??? Or what???? Does the round thing have any markings on it or part numbers or logos or anything to identify or help to identify what the round thing is????

Maybe eBay search or google the numbers stamped on the bracket as u indicated in the first post. That mite help to identify it.

Update! Found some additional numbers and no luck using Google search. I don't think its a turn signal flasher.
The white unit is a 10 ohm resister with #23979 on the ceramic The round unit has #2191 Thanks for helping.

Use an ohm meter or something to determine if the round thing has continuity with the mounting bracket.

There is no continuity . Across the terminals is 00.5 ohms. Thanks
