My 53 Clipper is about to be repainted. I am responsible for broke. Clips and any hardware removed and in need of repair during this process. As well, all rubber in doors, hood, trunk & windows being replaced. Where are good places to look for these parts and pieces?

My bumpers need to be rechromed as well. Looking at 1200 bucks right there. Are there outlets for the chrome pieces on these cars? Thinking about after market supplies. Thanks. Steve

Look for a local chrome shop. Estimates can vary widely. Shipping can be expensive, too.

Be prepared for some of the old original size and style wire clips being rusted and replacements NLA. Restoration Specialties which Joe linked to has the best and least expensive selection. You can download their PDF catalog and if you print out a page actual size you will get an illustration you can lay your old clip on and compare. A few -- but not all -- of the replacement clips can be turned 90 degrees and made to work if the exact item is not available but you may need to substitute universal clips instead. Most of those NLA clips can be worked around.

The price quoted on the bumpers sounds about right. I paid that much to have my 47 bumpers chromed at a local shop a couple of years ago and this is a high price state for that kind of work. AFAIK, there are no aftermarket chrome items available specifically made for Packards.
