The SM figure 77 page 26: "tighten the stop screw until the spool bolt... finger pressure ... backed off ... pin inserted at the point...

After having tried this, even with the stop screw tightened down as far as possible, the spool bolt is not close to being snug. The recess in the stop screw is much deeper then the length of the head of the bolt. I have no idea how it would possible to snug up the spool bolt.
