Kev,
for locking the WW Blog.

Won't forget the avatar, just have to figure out how to "shrink" the photo to the right size.

Think the skirts have been removed at some stage in the cars life.

JW,

Looking forward being at the wheel of my own Packard again. Although I did drive a mates '35 Eight 200kms each way to a show and back a couple of weeks ago, so it hasn't been cold turkey.

Mal, in case of any trouble, please don't hesitate to send it to me to have the pic shrinked.

Good Evening Mal...Here is hoping that you really enjoy your 23rd series Packard. We certainly enjoy ours. She goes to the hardware store, the barber, the grocery store, out to breakfast and all sorts of places around our home in Scottsdale, Arizona. She receives all sorts of positive thumbs up signals and an occasional 'What the hell is that?' Oh well! Ernie

Wednesday 14th February, 2018

Valentines Day, but my latest love won't be celebrating it with me. The '49 '50 Eight was due to arrive today but the transporter now won't be delivering her until Friday. So, until Friday, my love will just have to linger longer.

Mal, I hope your wife and/or girlfriend is not reading PI or you would be in the doghouse and being banished to the couch

Well, Mal, shows that I should be here more often and pay more attention. I would never have thought that you and the '41 would part ways.

Congratulations on your 'new' Packard!

Friday 16th February, 2018

Although Friday's child is loving and giving, it didn't extend to the Packard which failed to materialise today.

As another frequent poster says: "Let me put it another way" The flat bed operator tells me the wrong parts were supplied to effect the repair on his truck. Meaning that it wouldn't be ready to go back into service until late this afternoon.

Accordingly new arrangements were put in place with the Packard due to be picked up lunchtime Saturday and consequently delivery is now expected mid to late Saturday afternoon. Also means it'll now be delivered to my house rather than the mechanic's shop. And I'll drive it a whole 1.2kms unregistered to the shop for its registration inspection on Monday.

Saturday 17th February, 2018

Rang the seller of the Packard about 11:00am and he advised he'd been contacted by the "Towie" about 9:30am. The Towie said he expected to pick up the Packard up about 3:00pm.

It's now about 5:40pm and I've received advice from the seller that the Packard is on it's way. He also sent me some pic's of the pickup, see attached. So new ETA is about 8:00pm.

Now about 7:00pm, received a call from the Towie about an hour ago with an ETA of 7:40pm, so the moment is certainly getting nearer.

To while away the time, while waiting, have added the Packard into the Registry here.
