Interesting that you have the green wire connected to the meeting point of the two field coils instead of the brush carrier as they were originally. Electrically it's all the same, but mechanically I would worry about the green wire making contact with the spinning armature.

Hi..John..

I was seeing how the jumper wire would lay.

But that was changed..I came across another motor..with org. Wireing..

But at this time...I have a short in the one I wired..

The other motor works...but it got hot..by looking at armature and brush tubes. Under the black wire looks good..though...comutator looks good.

First 3 are from other motor...and was wonder if that. Bronze grease is Packard..

No, the Packard grease was black, or at least it is now 63 years later.

Rainy day project..from the 70s. Looks like some one tried to fix the push button.

So this is a candidate for micro switch.

The scrap angle I have is 1/2 x 3/4.

I'm working on a similar mod to offer as a core exchange, with new wiring.

Not my diagram.. Some one did it in the 70s..back then people were having problems with pb..clips.

My motor still is not working. Now I am thinking ignition switch.

Going to do a test panel check. If it works with just shift relay ..going to by pass ignition switch. And use a on off toggle switch..for power.

For now GM. Connector is off the hook.
