1953 Packard for sale

I have a 1953 Clipper Deluxe for sale. It has power brakes, Ultramatic and a radio. The chrome is more than 90% redone, it has a rebuilt engine, rebuilt transmission and was painted about 30 years ago in lacquer. I bought the car around 25 years ago and sold it to a friend about 20 years ago. He had the rebuilt engine and transmission installed and did the chrome along with a lot of other work. He died about eight years ago and his widow asked me to buy back the car around a year ago. The car had been sitting all that time and did not run. I installed a new fuel pump, changed fluids and did some minor work. The engine runs great. The transmission does have a leak-maybe from dried out seals from sitting ? I do have it licensed and the car runs down the highway at 65+. The brakes did not work at all from sitting. I had the power unit rebuilt but thay still need work. I assume that the shoes and hardware are frozen from sitting. The car was from the south and has no bondo or body work that I know of. It still needs some work--brakes, door seals leak and the drivers seat sags along with some minor issues. The headliner has been replaced. I have two other cars I'm working on and want to put my effort into those. I got a good deal on the car and want to pass that on. I'm only asking $8245.00 (less than the cost of the chrome work) so that the car can been finished without you being upside down in it. The car is located in Rochester New York. e-mail is pkdnut1@yahoo.com or call between 6-8:30pm est-- 585-223-8471

New Price--I'm lowering the price to $7745 -- I'll probably take the car off the forum in the next week and keep it if not sold

New price--I'll be moving the car to my winter storage by the begining of September and am offering the car at one last price reduction before I do. I have since located Packard NOS seat spring helpers to correct the drivers seat sag, not installed at this point. You can't buy the work that's been done for twice the price. Asking $7485.00

Thanks for all the interest I received on the car but having not received any serious offer on the car I'm pulling the car off the for sale forum after Labor Day. Hope you all get to get your Packards out for some late summer drives the next few weeks.

I've put the car in my shop/storage to continue to work on it and am no longer actively selling it. Thanks
