Looking for information on David Anthony Stitt, Oildale, CA

Since I could find no information on Tony Lopardo, I thought I would check on the next owner. In the mid '70's, my 1608 was owned by a David Anthony Stitt, who lived on W. Warren Ave, in Oildale, CA. Based on the CHiP's sticker in the window it was last on the road in 1972.

Does anyone have any information on David. I know the street number but doubt if it is relevant.

Thanks for any help.

BIll

If you just google his name it shows him living in Bakersfield, Ca., which is close to Oildale if I remember correctly. Give it a try?

Tolandis,

Good thought, but I called 2 numbers I got and one was disconnected and the other isn't setup for voicemail.

I goggled the street address and it appears to be a empty lot.

Guess I will thy the good old USPS.

Thanks

Bill

Tolandis,

USPS came thru. I sent a letter to the address on the googled name and he emailed me today. He bought the car in his 20's over 40 years ago.

Thanks for the direction.

Bill

Here is part of his email

Dear Bill,

You have made my day! I haven't seen that beautiful car(my love)in years. My wife and I bought her in somewhere around 1975 and I worked on it for several years. I sold it to a guy in Ridgecrest who seemed to want to keep it and restore it which was what I wanted to see if I had to give it up to anybody.

I really miss that old car. We used to load everyone up in it and go for a ride. It ran and rode great! Is it still in running condition? My wife and I were still in our twenties when we bought the car from a local guy who was a collector. That was over forty years ago.
