A 432 cubic inch 4 cylinder - 108 cubic inches per cylinder.......I am in awe!

That's certainly large, but there were numerous early engines that were larger per cylinder, some much larger. One of the largest was the 1906 Locomobile Vanderbilt Cup racer with 4 cylinders and 1197 cubic inches. The Pierce Great Arrow also had a huge displacement engine though I forget the particulars. IIRC the first Packard of 1899 was 143 cubic inches (single cylinder).

"If you have a miss with a single cylinder engine, you know which cylinder it is." The late Marshall Matthews said this at a car show in 1999 where his single cylinder Packard was on display.
