Looking for this part that holds the tire rim to the drum on a 1924 Packard. Not sure what they are called but need 20 of them. Anyone know where they can be purchased. See attached. Thanks.

G'day jirpel,
to PackardInfo, unfortunately I can't answer your question, hopefully someone will be along soon who can.

In the meantime I invite you to include your '23, or is it '24, Packard in the Packard Owner's Registry.

EDIT - Did a search on the AACA Forums and found this old thread. Maybe it will be helpful?

Hi Jirpel,

Welcome to Packard Info - Great site!!

Re the bolts you inquired about, see attached couple of pages.

I recently came by a hard-bound catalogue of the 'Motor Car Supply Company of Canada' who advertised themselves as: 'Automotive, Aeroplane and Radio Equipment Suppliers' The book is dated March 1st, 1929 and is some 600 pages of auto parts, equipment and related products from that era. The book is both beautifully printed and in excellent condition.
I have included the page listing tire and rim bolts, wedges and nuts, as well as the following page as it relates to Packard. I hope, if nothing else, you might be able to identify your parts and get some part numbers.
The book lists parts for the 3 or 4 years prior to '29 and, in as much as I have a '39, it is not particularly pertinent to my use, so anybody that would want it for any reason or purpose, it is available for the cost of postage only. Book is 9"X 11" and a little over an inch thick, probably weighs 3 or 4 pounds. Anyway, hope this is of some help, good luck with your search. Chris Goodfellow.

The Packard Proving Grounds historic site in Shelby Township, Michigan, USA.

It is run by the Packard Motor Car Foundation and is a non-profit organization. I believe there is 7 acres, mechanics garage, house and water tower. The Foundation's website is www.PackardMotorFdn.org

Hi Jirpel,

Just wanting to touch base re the pages I posted.... they look a little less-than-clear on the thread, but if you click on them and then single click again once they come up, they enlarge quite clearly. On the page listing the different makes, the part #'s for your '24 are listed for the various components. They can then be checked visually against the pictures on the second page to verify they match what you have. Might help tracking them down.
